Farhan Devji, 23, is an author, journalist, and communications professional based in Vancouver.

Currently, Farhan is the club reporter and editor for Vancouver Whitecaps FC. He was hired in July 2013 after serving as a communications intern on two separate occasions.

In June 2013, Farhan graduated from Carleton University’s School of Journalism and Communication with highest honours and was the recipient of the Herdman and Zelda Roodman Award in Journalism for “excellence in reporting.”

During his time at Carleton, Farhan was a regular contributor with the Charlatan. He served as both the sports editor and editor-in-chief.

Over the last few years, Farhan’s work has appeared in the Ottawa Citizen, the Edmonton Journal, the Vancouver Sun, the Calgary Herald, and the Montreal Gazette.

He has interviewed a number of professional and junior athletes, including Chris Bosh, Claude Giroux, Daniel Alfredsson, Ryan Kesler, John Tavares, and many others.

Although he’s quick to point out that his journalism endeavors started with his high school newspaper The Echo, Farhan’s career highlights include covering the 2012 IIHF World Junior Hockey Championship for the Edmonton Journal and the Toronto Raptors training camp in October 2009.
