I would just like to take this opportunity to welcome everyone to my blog. Before I get into what I plan for this to be about, here’s a quick introduction:
I was born in Nanaimo, British Columbia and currently reside in Port Moody, British Columbia, but will be making the move to our nation’s capital this fall to attend Carleton University. After some extensive contemplation and discussions with family, friends, colleagues, and several members of the media fraternity across the country, I came to a decision that the Journalism program at Carleton would ultimately serve me best.
Despite only eighteen years of age, my experience as a journalist is widespread. I’m currently the Editor-in-Chief of a Vancouver Canucks fan website, Canucks Fanz, a columnist at Inside Hockey, and an author for Cacoethes Publishing House . My first title, The Hockey Farmer, was published in 2008. In addition, I covered the 2008 Stanley Cup Finals for Orato and had numerous articles posted on the Basketball BC official website. Jeff Tambellini, Cody Hodgson, Michael Grabner, Jason Jaffray, Luc Bourdon (RIP), Dan Gendur, Taylor Ellington, Mats Froshaug, Luke Schenn, Thomas Hickey, Fabian Brunnstrom, Luca Sbisa, Zach Boychuk, Colin Wilson, Joe Colborne, James Wright, Tobias Forsberg and Kruise Reddick, Bob McKenzie and Tony Gallagher are among the list of names which I’ve had dealings with thus far.
With the exception of the links and a couple of my well received articles on the right hand column, this blog is not somewhere where you’ll find too many of my formal works. What you will find is anything I consider news worthy but not article worthy (if that makes any sense), and my general random musings about anything else (not necessarily sports related).
Feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org anytime with any questions, comments, requests, or anything else that your mind desires. Enjoy!
