This past weekend, I was blessed with the opportunity to attend the inauguration ceremonies of the Delegation of the Ismaili Imamat. I was able to receive media credentials for the event through The Charlatan, Carleton’s student newspaper, after I pitched them the idea a few days earlier. A big thanks to The Charlatan editor-in-chief Chris Hannay, perspectives editor Katherine Dunn, Aga Khan Foundations communication manager Jennifer Morrow, and Canadian Parliamentary Press Gallery representative Collin Lafrance for facilitating the whole experience for me. It was truly the experience of a lifetime.
For more information on the Delegation of the Ismaili Imamat, check out this piece written by my colleague at Know our World and The Press Box News Shaheed Devji. Stay tuned for my piece which will appear in The Charlatan in early January.
