I’ve learned that Vancouver’s sixth round selection in this summer’s NHL Entry Draft Mats Fröshaug will not be attending the Canucks’ prospects camp, prospects tournament, or main training camp all scheduled for next month.
There were some discussions between the two parties, but the result doesn’t come as much of a surprise since Fröshaug is still under contract with the Linköping HC.
Earlier this summer, I spoke to Mats and his assistant coach with the Linköping HC Magnus Hävelid, and proceeded to write an article about Vancouver’s newest Swede.
