I’m coming home

This is what I’ve been waiting for my whole life.

The team I love playing in the Stanley Cup Finals. It still doesn’t feel real.

I remember the days when my parents wouldn’t let me watch the third period of Canucks games because I had school the next morning. Instead, I would listen to Hughson and Larscheid on the radio as I fell asleep — and then watch highlights the next morning.

Rodin set on North America

I know this isn’t the most pressing matter for Canucks fans at the moment, but I think it’s worth mentioning nonetheless.

Anton Rodin, Vancouver’s second-round pick in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft, told me this morning that he will be making the move to North America next season.

He’ll likely be given every opportunity to crack the Canucks roster, but realistically, he’ll start the season with the Canucks’ AHL affiliate (whether that’s in Winnipeg or elsewhere is another question).
