Kevin Connauton scouting report

“I’ve covered WMU hockey for the Kalamazoo Gazette since 2006 and, thus, got to see Connauton play a lot last year. In a word: amazing. Skates like the wind. Hands. Vision. Patience. And he scored a huge goal in overtime of the first round of the CCHA tournament to help WMU win a home playoff series for the first time in 2,346 years. Peter Andersson info

Gunnar Svensson, agent of Henrik Zetterberg, Nicklas Backstrom (WSH), and others, tells me that Canucks prospect Peter Andersson is a “big defender with a very good shot,” he needs to work on “his timing of the play, but is for sure worth it as a late-rounder.”

Not much, I know. But something nonetheless.

Brendan Morrison a Capital

I’ve just learned that Brendan Morrison has signed with the Washington Capitals. It is a one-year deal.
